PARTIE 2 · LEÇON 18 SUR 30 · 40 MINUTES
The Storm
On Friday evening a storm hits the coast and cuts the electricity in the middle of dinner, and by candlelight Mamie Jeanne tells a story from the old days. Talk about a storm and a power cut, say "when I was young, there was no...", ask "what did you do in the evening?", and join two ideas with "who", "that" and "where" (qui, que, où).

L’HISTOIRE
It's Friday evening in Saint-Briac, and Mamie Jeanne was right about the wind. The windows shake, the rain hits the glass, and in the middle of dinner, all the lights go out. In the dark, Mamie Jeanne doesn't move. She's seen a hundred storms like this one, and by candlelight, she tells a story about her grandfather. Later, Chloe's father phones from Lyon. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
