Mont-Saint-Michel
On Saturday, the day before the All Saints' holiday, Emma and Chloe take the shuttle across the bay to Mont-Saint-Michel and climb to the abbey with a guide. On Sunday morning they say goodbye to Mamie Jeanne and fill up the hire car. Say when something was built, say "more than a thousand years", say "the most visited", talk about the steps, the top and the view, ask someone to take your photo, and say "you're lucky" and "it was worth it".

L’HISTOIRE
It's Saturday, the day before All Saints' Day, and the sky is blue after the storm. Emma and Chloe leave the hire car on the mainland and take the shuttle across the bay to Mont-Saint-Michel, the abbey on a rock that looks like a castle in a fairy tale. At the abbey, a guide is waiting for the three o'clock group, and at the top, after three hundred and fifty steps, the whole bay lies at their feet. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
