PARTIE 2 · LEÇON 16 SUR 30 · 40 MINUTES
The Tide
On Sunday morning, Emma and Chloe walk on the beach at low tide, Emma leaves her shoes on a rock, and the sea comes back faster than she thinks. Talk about low tide and high tide, sand, wind, shells and rocks, tell a story with what was going on and what happened, as in "we were walking when it started to rain", and tell Hugo all about it on the house phone.

L’HISTOIRE
It's Sunday morning, and last night the clocks went back an hour. At ten o'clock, Emma and Chloe go down to the beach. The sea has gone. There's sand as far as you can see, and little boats lying on their sides. Emma leaves her shoes on a rock and walks out barefoot towards the water. That afternoon, by the fire, Mamie Jeanne wants to hear about the walk, and in the evening Emma calls Hugo on the house phone. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
