The Moving-In Notice

Thursday the fifth of October, twenty twenty-eight, one o'clock, the ward office in the north of Kyoto. Thursday, the fifth of October, twenty twenty-eight, one o'clock, the ward office in the north of Kyoto, a hall of windows and numbers. Mister Okada gave Ben the afternoon yesterday, in Osaka's words. Yui has the moving-out certificate she fetched in Tokyo last week, Ben has his residence card and his katakana stamp, and the clerk, about Yui's age, speaks the polite language of forms. Then half past two, a street ten minutes from the flat, and Yui's father on his step with two fishing rods. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
