Dinner by the Port

That same Friday evening, Hugo takes Emma and the Dutch couple from the kayak trip to dinner by the old port. The couple don't speak a word of French, and Hugo doesn't speak English, so Emma orders for everyone. Ask for a table, say how many you are, order for yourself and for others, have dessert, and pay together or separately, by card or in cash.

L’HISTOIRE

It's Friday evening at the old port in Marseille, the day of the kayak trip. Hugo takes Emma to dinner with the Dutch couple from the trip, at a restaurant with tables outside, looking over the boats. The couple don't speak a word of French, and Hugo doesn't speak English, so Emma finds herself ordering for everyone, and then the bill comes. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
