PART 2 · LESSON 16 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES

At the Market

On Sunday morning, after breakfast at the guesthouse, Chloe takes Emma to the market by the river, where a loud seller wants everyone to taste his strawberries. Name fruit, vegetables and cheese, buy by the kilo and by the piece, say "they are" and describe food, and use "some" the French way. At the end of the market, Julien calls.

THE STORY

It's Sunday morning in Lyon. After breakfast at the guesthouse, Chloe takes Emma to the market along the river, where a seller in a straw hat wants everyone to taste his strawberries. Emma does the shopping, and Chloe adds one thing at the end. Then Emma's phone rings. It's Julien, in Paris, with the same idea as always. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
