A Stolen Phone

Emma's phone disappears on Wednesday's tram journey to a special morning meeting. After her evening classes, she reports the theft and tells Chloe what happened. Describe a person, distinguish what you saw from what you do not know, and report somebody's words. On Thursday, Emma follows up and confirms Hugo's visit by email.

THE STORY

Wednesday November twelfth. Emma takes the tram around eight for a one-off nine-o'clock meeting at the school. Her usual classes are still in the evening. A man asks the time; ten minutes later her phone is missing. After teaching, she goes to the nearby police station, then calls Chloe with Karim's permission from his phone.
