PART 2 · LESSON 15 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES
At the Creperie
On Saturday evening, Mamie Jeanne takes Emma and Chloe to the creperie at the harbour, where everyone knows her. Order galettes and crepes, ask what a dish is, talk about ham, eggs, cheese and cider, ask for a recommendation, say "you won't regret it", talk about allergies, try the hot plate, and hear "it's my treat".

THE STORY
It's Saturday evening, half past seven. Mamie Jeanne has woken Chloe from her nap, and the three of them have walked down to the harbour. The creperie has wooden tables, fishing nets on the walls, and a big hot plate where the owner makes the pancakes. Her husband serves at the tables. Mamie Jeanne has been coming here for fifty years. Emma looks at the menu, and she doesn't understand half of it. An hour later, the plates are empty. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
