THE STORY

It is Friday 24 October. Rain has been falling since morning, and Emma meets Monsieur Petit on the stairs. His forecast surprises her. She has no warm coat, and her old umbrella is still in Chicago. Upstairs, she phones Chloe to arrange Saturday's shopping. This is the conversation you will be able to say by the end of the lesson.
