Your Family

Lunch at Chloe's parents' goes on for hours, and the family asks about Emma's family in Chicago. Ask about brothers and sisters, say he, she and they, ask and say how old people are, say older and younger, married and single, and where your parents live and what they do. Then Leo asks the questions you're not supposed to ask, and at last the strawberries come out.

THE STORY

Lunch at Chloe's parents' goes on for hours. Patrick pours more wine, Sylvie brings out the cheese, and now it's Emma's turn to answer questions about her family back in Chicago. Then Leo, who is sixteen, asks the questions you're not supposed to ask, and at last Sylvie brings out the strawberries. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
