Thursday October thirtieth, after Sarah's morning shift and lunch at home. Elena takes her list to the market with Sarah. They buy flowers, two loaves, five named sugar skulls, candles and a little copal. One loaf is saved for the altar, and the other comes to dinner. Tomorrow's face painting is still a promise.
