PARTE 1 · LECCIÓN 3 DE 30 · 40 MINUTOS
Forty Bundles
Julian has spent weeks looking for the rich widow from Seville who paid for Sister Isabel's hospital. Say how much you've got done so far - I've gone through forty, I've got half written - say what you're planning, and follow Julian to the notaries' archive, where a will is waiting, with a name and a reason.

LA HISTORIA
It's Friday, January 14th, in the reading room of the Archive of the Indies. Julian has a pile of old bundles of paper, tied with ribbon, in front of him, and cotton gloves on his hands. Professor Ortega comes past on his way to lunch and stops at his table. Six days later, in the notaries' archive, a name turns up, and that afternoon Julian runs home to Sarah. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
