THE STORY
March 24, two weeks after Susan and Tom arrived. The family has three suitcases now, including one bought during the stay. Tom's left ankle is improving, but he still uses a walking stick for short distances and has airport assistance for the longer ones. Carla, Bia and Dona Lucia come to say goodbye. Daniel translates, and Susan tries her farewell in Portuguese.
