The Room in Which

Silvia, the estate agent, shows Daniel and Bia round three flats in Botafogo, and the third one, on the eighth floor, has the view. Say "the place where", "the room in which" and "the year in which", describe a flat, its light, its rooms and what it needs, ask about the building, the doorman and the fees, and hear the price.

THE STORY

Monday the twenty-second of January, a quarter to seven in the evening, in Botafogo. Silvia met Daniel and Bia at six, and has already shown them two flats, one with no light and one with a tiny kitchen. Now she opens the door of the third, on the eighth floor of an old building, walks straight across the empty living room, and pulls back the curtains. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
