We'll Take It!

Saturday the fifteenth of January 2028, the fourth lesson of this level. Eleven in the morning, a little street on the slopes, and the owner at the door with the keys. A pram by the letterboxes, a lift that is old but works, and on the third floor a balcony over the Saone. Emma says we'll take it before Hugo has seen the bedrooms. Then the file, where the owner asks for payslips Emma doesn't have, wants a guarantor by Monday and has two other couples waiting. At seven, Chicago on a video call, and her father's question gets its answer at last. Say we'll take it, with the little word for it before the verb, and I haven't got any, I'm self-employed, with the little word for of them in a negative.

L’HISTOIRE

Saturday the fifteenth of January 2028, eleven in the morning, a little street on the slopes of the Croix-Rousse, five minutes down from the school. At the door, the agent, and a man of about sixty-five with a ring of keys, the owner. A pram by the letterboxes, a lift that works, and on the third floor a living room that opens onto a balcony over the Saone. Emma has decided before the tour is over. Then the owner opens a folder, and the morning changes. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
