THE STORY

The Sharmas' sitting room in Lajpat Nagar, a December evening, the Bennetts beside Noah and the sweets going round. Noah speaks to Mummy ji and Dadi ji with the polite you; Mummy ji uses the familiar you with him, and Dadi ji calls him my child.
