Alice, thirteen months old, is asleep in the yellow room, Pipoca is on the sofa on a new blanket from the seventh floor, and the taxi is on its way. The six o'clock flight lands before nine, and Fernanda wants Daniel in the office by the river at ten, where Edson has the coffee on, a list, and two calls to make.
