THE STORY
Saturday the tenth of February, Carnival Saturday, at Silvia's office, a small room above a pharmacy in Botafogo, with photos of flats all over the walls. Under the window, a street party goes by with drums. The bank's letter is in Bia's bag. Daniel has written a number on a piece of paper, crossed it out, and written another one. The owner of the flat is waiting for Silvia's call. Half an hour later, at a table on the pavement, Bia explains how buying things works in Brazil. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
