At Manolo's bar on the corner, Sarah and Julian order tapas for the first time, and find out that in Spain a tortilla is something else entirely. A HISTÓRIA
It's Saturday, at three in the afternoon, the time when the whole of Spain sits down to eat. Manolo's bar has a zinc counter, legs of ham hanging from the ceiling, a blackboard of tapas and a television showing football with the sound off. Manolo sees them come in and slaps a cloth over his shoulder. Ten minutes later the tortilla arrives, and at half past four, the bill. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
