Sarah's parents land in Oaxaca for the Guelaguetza - her mother with her new Spanish, her father with a few words he has learned in secret. It's Wednesday, the fifteenth of July. The little airport of Oaxaca is full of families waiting for relatives who've come home for the festival. Sarah has been waiting for an hour, holding a sign with her parents' names on it in big letters. That night, on the terrace of their hotel, she has a little bottle of mezcal for her father, and something to tell them both. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
