Stranded

Sarah's flight to Mexico is cancelled by an air traffic strike, and Valeria's baby won't wait. Say it's been cancelled, they've left us stranded, will I get there in time?, ask for your money back, buy a train ticket, and race across Spain by high-speed train to catch the flight from Madrid.

A HISTÓRIA

It's Saturday, February 5th, at Seville airport. Sarah has one suitcase, a present for Valeria's baby, and a connecting flight from Madrid to Mexico City at one o'clock. The departures board is full of one red word, the queue is two hours long, and the woman at the airline desk looks as if she hasn't slept. Twenty minutes later Sarah is at the ticket office of Seville's train station, and at half past twelve she is running through Madrid airport. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
