It's Thursday in Puerto Escondido, at the bottom of the mountains, where the phone signal comes and goes. After her surf lesson, Sarah is on the roof of the hostel when her phone rings. It's Valeria, calling from Guadalajara, with a question about Friday. Then Mateo comes up with two coffees, and in the evening the phone rings again.
