On Monday morning, half an hour before the ten-o'clock meeting, Daniel walks up to Marcos's door with his speech ready. Marcos speaks first. That night Daniel calls his parents in Chicago, and he has just put the phone down when Bia knocks at his door. Later, at the coffee shop, Rafael and Carla are waiting for an answer.
