Sunday, December twenty-fourth, five in the afternoon, and it's already dark. Susan and Tom's house smells of turkey. There are boots by the front door, a tree in the corner, and five red stockings hanging over the fireplace, one with Bia's name on it, in glitter. Daniel's sister Emily has just arrived.
