Out of Order

Sunday the thirteenth of February 2028, moving day, the eighth lesson of this level. Eight in the morning at Hugo's fifth floor, twelve boxes, a bed in pieces and a hired van; half past nine at the studio, Monsieur Petit with his toolbox; eleven o'clock at the new building, a lift at last, with a note on its door, a heavy sofa on the stairs, and the neighbours from the second floor, Lucas, Elodie and four-month-old Rose; a hundred screws at four; pizza on the boxes at eight. Say we'll carry it up for you, with you and it before the verb, and it's out of order, the day we move in.

L’HISTOIRE

Sunday the thirteenth of February 2028, moving day. Eight in the morning, Hugo's fifth floor for the last time, a hired van in the street, twelve boxes on the landing and a bed in pieces. Eleven o'clock, the little street on the slopes, and at last a lift, with a note on its door. A heavy sofa on the stairs, a door that opens on the second floor, a baby in her mother's arms, a hundred screws in a toolbox, and at eight in the evening, pizza on the boxes, as a year ago. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
