On a Sunday in September, Valeria and Diego come to the blue house for lunch, with big news and a ring. It's Sunday, the sixth of September, and Elena has made mole for twelve. Valeria and Diego got off the night bus from Guadalajara this morning, and Valeria has kept her left hand in her pocket all through lunch. Elena has noticed. So has Sarah. Then Valeria stands up.
