He Asked Me to Marry Him

On a Sunday in September, Valeria and Diego come to the blue house for lunch, with big news and a ring. Say someone asked you to marry them, ask when and what someone said, say we wanted to tell you in person and we'd like you to be our sponsor, welcome someone to the family, and talk about engagements, rings, weddings, churches, guests and dresses.

THE STORY

It's Sunday, the sixth of September, and Elena has made mole for twelve. Valeria and Diego got off the night bus from Guadalajara this morning, and Valeria has kept her left hand in her pocket all through lunch. Elena has noticed. So has Sarah. Then Valeria stands up. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
