PARTIE 2 · LEÇON 12 SUR 30 · 40 MINUTES
Get to the Point
Julian and Professor Ortega handed in The Nun and the Widow on Monday. On Thursday the publisher says she loves it - all except a hundred pages, and she wants it back by Monday. Edit a text the way Spaniards argue about one - there's too much, you go on and on, you're beating about the bush, get to the point, it needs more substance - accept a cut that hurts, and find out what Sarah never told Julian about chapter four.

L’HISTOIRE
It's Thursday, March 15th, 2029, eleven in the morning, at the publishing house. On Monday, Julian and Professor Ortega handed in their book. Now the draft is on the publisher's desk, four hundred pages, covered in red pencil, and Julian and Ortega are sitting very upright, like schoolboys. That evening, before her night shift, Sarah hears the news, and has a confession to make. Then three days of cutting at the kitchen table. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
