PARTIE 1 · LEÇON 2 SUR 30 · 40 MINUTES Gratuit

Have You Eaten?

Sarah and Julian meet Encarna, their landlady in Triana, who has made them gazpacho and has the keys to their new flat. Learn how Spain talks about today - we've arrived, we haven't eaten, I've made you, did you like it? - and the words for a flat in Spain - the keys, the rent, the electricity, the fridge.

L’HISTOIRE

It's September 3rd, about four in the afternoon. Pureza Street is narrow and white, with pots of geraniums on every balcony. Number 23 has a green door and a tiled entrance. Before Julian can knock, the door opens, and a small woman of about seventy in a flowered apron throws her arms out. It's Encarna, their landlady. Upstairs, she shows them the flat, puts the keys in Julian's hand, and tells them about the rent. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
