PARTIE 1 · LEÇON 1 SUR 30 · 40 MINUTES Gratuit
Like Lizards
At the end of May, the first real heat hits Seville. Encarna explains how Sevillians survive a summer that hasn't even started, Manolo turns up at the hottest hour of the day, and a voice message from Japan promises big news. Guess with the future and the conditional - it must be forty, who can that be?, it must have been half past three, they must have got engaged - and learn the rules of the heat - blinds down, the siesta, the shade, and slowly, like lizards.

L’HISTOIRE
It's May 26th, four in the afternoon, in Pureza Street. Sarah and Julian have just walked home from the cathedral, and they come into Encarna's patio red in the face and soaked. Encarna is sitting in the dark, with every blind down, a fan in her hand and a jug of cold water on the table. She looks at them as if they were mad. Then someone knocks at the street door, and half an hour later a voice message arrives from Japan. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
