PARTIE 1 · LEÇON 3 SUR 30 · 40 MINUTES
Welcome to Spain
At the foreigners' office in Seville, Sarah finds out that there's always one more paper. Use the impersonal "you" the Spain way - you ask for it at the town hall, you take the contract, you make friends in the queue - say what's needed and that nobody told you, and get through Spanish paperwork - the queue, the appointment, the residence card, the registration and the fingerprints.

L’HISTOIRE
It's Monday, September 6th, at nine in the morning. The foreigners' office is in an old grey building on the other side of the river. There's a queue round the block, a machine that gives out numbers, and a sign that says "With appointment only". Sarah has an appointment at ten, a folder full of papers, and the patience she learned at the consulate in Mexico City. At the end of the queue, she meets a man who has been waiting since seven. At ten past ten, her number comes up. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
