Freezing Cold

Curro comes back from three weeks in Boston with Emily's family, and tells the bar about it the way Spaniards tell everything - with enormous exaggeration - until a message from Emily sets the record straight. Say it was freezing cold, I had a whale of a time, snow up to my knees, I swear, now that I really don't believe, and what difference does it make.

L’HISTOIRE

It's Tuesday, February 6th, 2029, eight in the evening, at Manolo's bar. Curro landed at noon from three weeks in Boston with Emily's family, slept for four hours, and has come straight to the bar in a Boston Red Sox hat. Manolo has put a beer in front of him, and Sarah and Julian have come down to hear everything, especially about Sarah's father. Then Sarah's phone buzzes, with a message from Emily. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
