PARTIE 2 · LEÇON 11 SUR 30 · 40 MINUTES
Where Did You Study?
Sarah and Lucia start their first shift on the delivery ward with Rosario, a midwife with more than thirty years of births behind her, who has a question for each of them, and then shows them the very thing they studied last week. Ask a group about the past, the Spain way - where did you study?, what did you do?, how many have you attended? - and follow a senior midwife through the night's notes, an emergency and a coffee.

L’HISTOIRE
It's Monday, October 4th, seven in the morning, on the delivery ward of the Virgen Macarena hospital. For the next few weeks Sarah and Lucia work the morning shift there, and their classes have moved to the afternoon. At the midwives' desk Rosario is waiting, a small woman with grey hair cut very short, reading glasses on a cord and a stopwatch round her neck. She looks them up and down, asks where they studied and what they did in class last week, and takes them straight to room two, where a young mother has lost too much blood. An hour later, she says something she doesn't say often. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
