PARTIE 2 · LEÇON 17 SUR 30 · 40 MINUTES
The Lights Go Out
On their last night on the coast, a storm blows in from the sea, and the power goes out in Sarah and Camila's little hotel in Rio Lagartos. By candlelight, they talk about their grandmothers and what scared them as children, and the next morning Rosa and Tomas call from Merida. Say the power went out, ask for a torch and candles, talk about thunder, lightning and wind, say you're scared, and tell what used to happen when you were a child.

L’HISTOIRE
It's Saturday, December sixth, Sarah and Camila's last night on the coast. All week they've explored its beaches and fishing villages, sleeping in their little hotel by the water in Rio Lagartos. That evening, a storm blows in from the sea. The wind bends the palm trees, the rain hammers on the roof, and at about nine o'clock, while they're having dinner in their room, everything goes black. Later, by candlelight, they talk about their grandmothers. The next morning, Rosa calls from Merida. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
