PARTIE 1 · LEÇON 8 SUR 30 · 40 MINUTES
No Ni Ná
On a rainy Saturday, Encarna gives Sarah a proper lesson in the Spanish of Seville - the words, the sounds that go missing, and an expression that sounds like no but means yes, a thousand times. Sarah tries it on the neighbour, on Pepa in Cadiz, at the market, and that night on Julian. Hear and say Seville's speech - goodness!, mate, of course!, worn out, I'm off home - and understand a neighbour at full speed.

L’HISTOIRE
It's Saturday, February 24th, 2029, a rainy morning in Encarna's kitchen. There's a pot of stew on the stove, and the radio is playing flamenco. Sarah has been in Seville a year and a half, and her Spanish is good. Too good, Encarna says - it sounds like the radio. Today, Encarna has decided, Sarah is going to learn to speak like the street. That evening, upstairs, she tries it on Julian. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
