THE STORY
It's Wednesday, June 20th, 2029, twenty past twelve, at Saint Anne's, the oldest church in Triana. It's thirty-eight degrees outside and not much less inside, and every fan in the church is waving. The ceremony was meant to start at twelve. Pablo waits at the altar, with a walking stick he has painted silver, so it will match. Julian, one of the two witnesses, has the rings in his pocket. Lucia is on her way, on her father's arm, in a dress she has hidden from everyone for six months. After the vows, the guests wait outside with rice. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
