PART 2 · LESSON 12 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES

Two Families

Sarah's parents meet Elena, Don Roberto and Andres at Sunday lunch in the blue house, and Sarah ends up passing questions back and forth between her two families. After lunch, in the kitchen, her mother and Elena talk about Sarah, and about Julian. Make introductions, thank someone for looking after someone you love, pass on what someone is asking or saying, and find what two people have in common.

THE STORY

It's Sunday, the nineteenth of July. Elena has been cooking since six in the morning. The table in the yard has her best tablecloth, Don Roberto has put on a shirt with buttons, and Andres has been told to behave. At two o'clock, Sarah arrives with her parents. After lunch, her mother and Elena wash the dishes together in the kitchen. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
