PART 2 · LESSON 19 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES
So to Speak
On Friday the thirteenth, Julian goes on local radio, live, to talk about the book, and discovers the art of saying things carefully on air - while at Manolo's bar, Sarah finds out who got him invited. Hedge like a Spaniard on the radio - so to speak, let's say, in a way, up to a point, that's a good question - answer an interviewer without saying too much, or too little.

THE STORY
It's Friday, April 13th, 2029, six in the evening, in a small radio studio in the centre of Seville, all foam on the walls and a red light over the door. Julian is in front of a microphone for the first time in his life, wearing headphones that are too big, his neck still stiff from Holy Week. Across the river, Sarah, Encarna and the whole of Manolo's bar are listening on a radio on the counter. Nobody has told Julian how the radio found him. The red light comes on. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
