L’HISTOIRE
It's Sunday, December 17th, seven in the evening, a few hours after the civil wedding, in the main square of Teotitlan, under a church of red stone. A brass band has started to play. Two giant puppets, as tall as a house, a groom in a white shirt and a bride with yellow wool hair, are swaying above the crowd. Julian's mother is handing out baskets of flowers, and the Sevillians don't know where to look. Rockets go up over the roofs, Sarah learns to carry a basket on her head, and at midnight the procession brings everyone back to the church, where Sarah and Julian say goodnight until the church wedding. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
