THE STORY
It's Wednesday, December thirty-first, the last day of the year, and Sarah's last day with her job in Boston. In the afternoon, Rosa sweeps the whole house to send the bad things away. That night, the whole street is out. In the courtyard, Rosa has put out little cups, each with twelve green grapes, and Sarah doesn't know why. It's five minutes to midnight. After the fireworks, Sarah and Camila take their bags for a walk round the block, and Valeria calls from Oaxaca. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
