PART 3 · LESSON 27 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES
As If It Had Always Been Here
On a Friday night in September, Camila opens a second cafe in Oaxaca, in Sarah's own neighbourhood, and her new business partner is someone Sarah knows very well. And at last, Tono pays Lupita her coffee. Say as if it had always been, as if we'd been friends all our lives, congratulate someone on an opening, say my treat, now we're even and better late than never, and talk about a loan, a partner, a menu and a business.

THE STORY
It's Friday night, the fourth of September, in Sarah's own neighbourhood, the old quarter of cobbled streets and painted walls. A new cafe has opened in a corner house, with yellow walls, wooden tables and a long bar full of bottles. The street outside is full of people. Camila, who came all the way from Chiapas, is at the door in a new apron. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
