PART 1 · LESSON 2 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES Free
Let's Get to Work
A week after the move, the paint comes out again, for the scratches the move left - and, while they're at it, a new colour or two. Lucia and Pablo come up to help, one of them more than the other. Speak the language of a day of DIY - it's a real mess, while we're at it, what colour shall we paint the living room, off-white at most, how boring, you've got no business here, it needs another coat, you've missed a bit - and the Spanish sayings that come with paint.

THE STORY
It's Wednesday, July 11th, 2029, a week after the move, nine in the morning, in the top-floor flat. The move has left its marks - a scratch on the indigo-blue wall, and knocks all along the hall. The furniture is in the middle of the living room under old sheets, the floor is covered in plastic, and by the door there are four tins of white paint, which Julian bought yesterday. Lucia has come up with a bag of colour cards. Pablo has come up in brand-new white overalls, which he bought specially. Encarna is in a chair in the doorway, because someone has to supervise. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
