THE STORY

It is Thursday, October second. At ten o'clock a grandmother comes into the clinic holding the hand of a little boy of about seven. He has tears on his face, dirt on his knees, and he is holding his arm against his chest. She doesn't look worried. She has seen this before. While Sarah looks at the arm, the grandmother tells her about the old days, and at one o'clock Lupita wants to know what Sarah was like as a child. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
