PART 2 · LESSON 17 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES
The Emergency Room
Two days after the Guelaguetza, after a morning in the sun with more beer than water, Sarah's dad feels dizzy and has a headache, and Sarah takes him to the emergency room. Talk about things that happen by accident - his blood pressure went up, he forgot his pills, I ran out - describe symptoms, and pass on what a doctor says.

THE STORY
It's Wednesday, the twenty-ninth of July, two days after the Guelaguetza. Sarah's parents have walked all morning in the sun, and her father has had more beer than water. At four, after her shift at the clinic, Sarah finds them on a bench in the main square, and her father doesn't look well. Ten minutes later they're at the emergency room, where a young doctor asks the questions and Sarah, a nurse herself, answers them. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
