THE STORY
It's Sunday, December twenty-eighth, the Day of the Innocents, when Mexicans play jokes on each other. Valeria has flown back to Oaxaca, and the guesthouse is quiet. After a joke at breakfast, Sarah and Camila take the bus to the beach at Progreso - this time, with sunscreen - and lie on the sand looking at the sea. In less than a week, they'll go their separate ways. That evening, Tomas comes to dinner, and Sarah sends Valeria a message. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
