PART 2 · LESSON 19 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES
You Found Your Place
On the last night of her parents' visit, Sarah finally gives her father the bottle of mezcal she bought for him in June, and he raises a glass of water on a rooftop above the cathedral. Make a toast, say you're proud of someone, look back on a year, ask someone to promise something, keep something for a special occasion, and tease - what wedding?

THE STORY
It's Saturday night, the first of August, the last night before Sarah's parents fly home. Julian has booked a table on a rooftop terrace with a view of the cathedral, lit up in gold. Before dinner, Sarah finally gives her father the bottle of mezcal she bought for him in June. Then her father, who has been unusually quiet all evening, stands up and taps his glass. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
