PART 3 · LESSON 25 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES
Christmas Eve
At midnight on Christmas Eve, Rosa's courtyard is full, and there are hugs, toasts, wishes and presents. Say it's midnight and Merry Christmas, ask for a hug, make a toast, wish people well with "I wish you" and "may you have", give a present, ask if you can open one, and thank people for coming.

THE STORY
It's Wednesday, December twenty-fourth, Christmas Eve. After the Christmas Eve mass, Rosa's courtyard is full - Tomas, his aunts and cousins, Camila, Valeria and Sarah - around a long table with turkey, tamales and a big pot of punch. At midnight there are hugs and toasts, and after dinner, the presents - and Sarah's hammock for Valeria. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
