PART 2 · LESSON 19 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES
The Seating Plan
Sunday the twenty-sixth of September, the evening after Kyoto. Ben and Yui spread a big sheet of paper on the floor and decide who sits where at the reception. Learn to describe people, places and things with a whole sentence in front of them. Someone who gets on with Kenta, people who can speak English, someone who likes fishing, the place where we met. Talk about tables, seats, name cards, the bride and groom, and who gets on with whom.

THE STORY
Sunday, the twenty-sixth of September, the evening after Kyoto. Sixty guests, eight tables, and a lot of opinions. Missus Sato needs somewhere quiet. Daichi must not sit near the microphone. Aya speaks English and Japanese, which makes her very valuable. And Ben's father, who speaks no Japanese at all, needs someone at his table. Yui has an idea about that. Then Kenta phones about his seat, Mike's reply card turns out to be still in his bag, and Ben promises to write all sixty name cards in kanji. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
