The Whole Truth

Emily has applied for a master's at the University of Seville, and wants a second year here. She hasn't told Dad, and she wants Sarah to tell him for her, or tell him half. Sarah says no more half-truths. At nine, on the video call to Boston, Emily confesses, and Dad asks to speak to Curro, man to man. Confess something and tell the whole truth - I have to confess something, you have to tell him that yourself - ask someone to tell someone for you, and say you'd guessed or could see it coming.

A HISTÓRIA

It's Monday, February 25th, 2030, six in the evening, in the kitchen of the top-floor flat. Emily has come straight from the university with a plastic folder. She has applied for a master's here, and wants a second year in Seville. Dad doesn't know, and she wants Sarah to tell him for her. At nine, three in the afternoon in Boston, Mom and Dad appear on Sarah's laptop, and Curro sits beside Emily, just out of the picture. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
