For Once in My Life

Tuesday afternoon on the maternity ward of the Macarena. Encarna comes to meet Paco in her best dress, Pablo's mother has told half of Triana, Lucia's father hands the baby over, and Lucia and Pablo have a question that leaves Encarna, for once in her life, without words. Then plenty. Greet a newborn and his visitors - what a dress, are you coming from a wedding, one has to come well dressed, hold him, he won't break, he weighs less than a King's cake - say that a secret is out - half of Triana already knows - ask someone to be a godmother - we want to ask you something, will you be his godmother, I can't think of anyone better - lose your words and find them - say something, you're scaring me, for once in my life I'm speechless, that's not a yes - and plan a baptism - at Saint Anne's, where I got married, if the godmother approves, three months to tell the whole of Seville.
